Replacing the disposable filter cartridge is a clean and simple process, requiring no tools and no contact with particulate-laden filter material. Manufactured by 3M Purification Inc. (formerly CUNO, Inc.), Aqua-Pure AP917HD cartridges and companion water filter systems are made from FDA CFR-21 compliant materials. The cartridges feature 5 micron carbon-block filtration with a non-woven blended pleat media. They have a flow rate of 20 gal. (75.7 l) per minute, a temperature range of 40-100°F (4.4-37.8°C), and a pressure range of 25-125 psi (172-862 kPa). Replacement is recommended annually, after filtration of 100,000 gal. of water, or if there is a noticeable reduction in flow.
